PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Food Service Worker I has some assignments in production, serving, cleaning and sanitation. Assignments may vary on a day to day basis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

TASN Certification Level 1

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

The ability to follow oral instructions.

Ability to Speak “limited” English.

 

Minimum Experience:

None

 

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

       

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of vegetables, salads, meats, and/or baked items.
  2. Assist with cashiering duties if necessary.
  3. Work as a server on the serving line.
  4. Assist in dish room, pot and pan areas; sweep and mop floors.
  5. Assist in cleaning of equipment and the general kitchen/dining room areas.
  6. May be asked to assume responsibilities of other absent employees.
  7. Work schedule may be adjusted on an as needed basis.
  8. Perform other assigned duties that may be required by the manager and/or the Director of Nutrition Service.
  9. Maintain TASN certification level 1
  10. 10.Employee is required to comply with all Crosby ISD HACCP policies and procedures.

Various kitchen equipment.

Moderate to heavy exposure to hot/cold temperatures, steam wet floors and cleaning chemicals.
